Bachelor Ski Education Foundation, Bend, Oregon. Coached the elite J-IV group that trains with the full time program - 1999 Assisted the US Snowboard World Cup Team. Being primarily a pro Austrian race academy, it takes a lot to convince us that we should have coaches of nationalities other than Austrians at the academy. However given the rise of the American athletes such as Bode Miller, Ted Ligety, Daron Rahlves and Lindsey Kildow, if we are to fullfill our promise to deliver the very best training to our athletes, we dare not ignore the USA team coaches. Our experience since our inception and over the last two seasons, has also taught us that you have to combine the highly qualified, experienced and top quality coaches with their ability to deliver quality object orientated training, across all levels of our athletes, ranging from children to junior as well as senior FIS racers. This is difficult for anyone when you have been used to coaching world class racers and takes someone with a good deal of understanding and patients to achieve this. Kevin has taught children and junior FIS racers of all levels and understands that to get the best out of any young racer, the training needs to be fun and varied as well as hardwork. It also requires a lot of self discipline and a certain amount of mutual respect is required from the coach and athlete. Kevin brings with him a wealth of coaching experience gained across the USA, The Southern Hemisphere and Northern Europe. As a young racer of some ability, he was ranked in the top 15 in the western USA region in all disciplines, He has competed in the FIS and NorAm cup circuits and has taught racers at all levels and experience throughout the USA, New Zealand, Australia and Europe. He has spent a lot of time teaching in France and during his time their gained top French ski qualifications, The Brevet d'etat Educatif sportif and The Ecole Nationale de ski et Alpinism (E.N.S.A). Kevin is the only instructor that we know that is a qualified instructor in two countries, being the USA and France. He has coached French instructors in preparation for their Test De Capacity and Test Technique, a giant slalom and slaom race that qualifies a person to teach in France. Kevin's other skills are languages, in fact he is a bit of a linguist and can speak English, French, German and some Italian.
